    K V BSF Baikunthpur is a part of KendriyaVidyalayaSangathan,a pace setting pioneer institute in the field of school education,anautonomus body under Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.From its inception on 03 August 2010 this vidyalaya is progressing inch by inch and yard by yard cater to the educational needs of the children of BSF employee,Defence personal, other central Govt. employee and floating population.The school started from class I to V in 2010 , gradually upgraded to class IX in 2014 and Class X in 2015.

    Theschool is sitiuted in the lap of Baikunthpurforest,a serene scenic beauty of North Bengal,providing conducive atmosphere for teachinglearning process.
    At present school is running in a temporary accomodation provided by BSF autorities.However BSF has commited to provide 7.5 Acres of land in BSF campus Baikunthpur. The transfer of land is stillunder process and at present it is under the consideration of cabinet of Government of India.

    KV BSF Baikunthpur has eight no. of class rooms,one Activity room,one Music room, one computer Lab having LAN and Internet connectivity, one Library,one sports room and two playgrounds.

    Salient Features :

    The Kendriya Vidyalayas are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development Deptt. of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi, as a result of the recommendations of the second pay commission. They primarily cater to the education needs of the children of the central Govt. Employees including Defence Personnel and floating population liable to frequent transfers throughout the country. Needless to say, therefore they have common syllabus and are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

    Every School, hence is a ‘miniature India’ in itself and tries to inculcate in its students feelings of patriotism, brotherhood and national integration.

    Places chosen for establishing Kendriya Vidyalayas are those having concentration of Defence Personnel and other transferable Central Govt. Employees. For admission the Vidyalayas give priority to the children of transferable Defence Personnel, Central Govt. Employees and Personnel of All India Service, but other floating population desirous of having such common pattern of education are also eligible for admission to the remaining.
